Menopause

The menopause, also called the climacteric period, is a time of hormonal changes. An appropriate lifestyle often helps women to successfully pass through this phase.

How long the menopause will last varies from one woman to the next, with the average time being about ten years. During that period, the hormone production of the ovaries decreases until it ends completely. For many women the menopause is a time when they encounter a rollercoaster of emotions and constant ups and downs in their physical well-being, as the whole organism must get used to these changes. Although basically the declining estrogen production has the same effects on all women, among them changes in the fat and bone metabolism, weight increase and transitory conditions, such as hot flushes and profuse sweating, they vary in intensity. Accepting the fact that we are getting older as well as being physically active and relaxing from time to time may be the best way of treating the menopause as an opportunity for a change in perspective.

In addition to drug therapy for menopausal complaints, complementary dietary management with Orthomol Femin is also possible.
